Senate passes bill for all-week e-finals

The University Senate also passed legislation that allows professors to give electronic final exams throughout the last week of school.

Final exam guidelines state that classes must meet during the period assigned to them. However, about 20 to 30 percent of professors have given their classes inQsit lab finals, allowing students to sign up for sessions throughout the week, Stanley Keil, chairman of the Academic Policies Council, said.

The ACP committee decided to make the change to catch up with reality, Keil said.
