LETTERS TO THE EDITOR: Gradebook mass e-mailing from former classmates thankfully gone

I just wanted to say that I'm glad to see that Ball State has finally done something about the mass e-mails that are frequently sent out to students, especially from classes that were taken two or three years ago. As I was checking Gradebook to see if a particular person was in a SOC 100 class that I took in the spring of 2002, I noticed that the link to the e-mail list for that class said "N/A." While I was disappointed that I didn't get to see if that person was in my class, I was happy to know that no longer can people refer back to class lists from years past to send out mass e-mails about apartment subleasing or other various items of "interest." Whoever was in charge of making this happen deserves a pat on the back and a congratulations on behalf of the student body at Ball State. Thank you!
