There are dog people, and there are cat people. There are alsofish people and reptile people. I am a dog, cat, reptile person.Your basic, ordinary animal lover. I can't help it. But, why wouldI not want to love animals?
Animals, especially dogs and cats, are good for cuddling whenyou're lonely. And, since I don't have my own kids, they are mykids. I even talk to them like they understand everything I'msaying. Some "dog professionals" say that's a waste of breath, butI disagree. I'm sure my dog, Schelbi, knows everything I say.
As for my cat, Josephie, she's old and wise. I think sheunderstands a lot of what I say to her, but she has that catattitude. "Why, exactly, do you think I care about what you'resaying? I'm going to nap now." Yeah, she reads Garfield.
I used to have a snake, George, but he saw an opportunity to befree and took it. Snakes don't have ears, so talking to him was abit different. Talking to him took an effort of making extra strongvibrations for him to feel. Did he recognize my vibrations? I thinkso, but it's hard to tell. He did know my touch, however, which ispretty close to the same thing in snake world. I miss my snake.
One thing about having animals is you have to name them. There'sactually a prime minister in a far away country that wants to banpeople names for animals. His reasoning is he doesn't want childrento feel bad about an animal having the same name.
Well, that's just ridiculous.
I had my dog with me one day and she had the exact same name(spelled differently, I'm sure) as the little girl petting her.Schelbi Lynn. Yes, I'm crazy enough to give my pets middle names,too. Josephie Ann, by the way. George didn't have a middle name.But I digress.
Names are something to think about whether it's for your pet orkids. I've been writing scripts for my scriptwriting class and wehave to think of names for our characters. Need help? Long live theWorld Wide Web. There are some interesting names out there. Do asearch, find out what kind of name catches your eye. You may besurprised at some.
There are actually names listed for people that are supposed tobe objects. I would give you examples, but I don't want to takeaway your search fun. The weird object names were for boys. Somegirls have an object name, but it's pretty. For instance: Tierra. Iknow a Tara, Terra, Terri, Terry and two Tierra's. Maybe they couldbe fish names. Just kidding.
Go name an animal. It'll do you good.
