SGA delays vote on organizational seats

Student Government Association delayed a vote on legislationthat would create more organizational seats because of Fall Break,Steve Geraci, president pro tempore, said.

The legislation would end the deadline of the first full week ofOctober for organizations to apply for a permanent seat in SGA. Theorganizational caucus is the only caucus with the deadline. Itwould also create 15 seats in the caucus, up from eight, andclarify the application process.

Geraci said he did not want senators to have to review thelegislation online and discuss it through e-mail because they wouldbe gone for Fall Break.

Geraci said he hoped to have a vote on the legislation at SGA'smeeting 3:15 p.m. Wednesday in the L.A. Pittenger Student CenterCardinal Hall A.
