Before the football game begins this weekend, Ball State willannounce the beginning of the public phase of the $12 millionfundraising campaign to upgrade the football stadium.
University representatives will kickoff the drive in the AlumniCenter during a pregame lunch-in. Jo Ann Gora, Bubba Cunningham,Ben Tietz and fundraising chair John Fisher.
Ball State has currently raised around $5 million to the goal,and hopes to earn the rest of the funds by Nov. 1, 2005.
There will also be an onfield announcement prior to the kickoffof the game.
The planned improvements to the stadium include enclosing thenorth endzone, increasing seating to 25,400 from 22,500, addingrestroom and concession facilities, a large press box andentertainment center, and suites.
