BSU staff member thanks school, community for help

Dear Ball State University Community,

Thank you for all you have done for Bob, me and our family sinceour home and belongings were destroyed by fire on September 20. Wehave been so touched by the help, calls, cards, gifts of money, food, clothing, phone cards and more. Your generosity and concernhave made a difficult situation much easier to bear. Seeing ourhome burn didn't make me cry, but the overwhelming response fromyou (faculty, staff and students) and the wider Muncie communitydid. How you reached out to us encouraged us beyond what you canknow.

We are so grateful that our foster daughter was pulled from thefire minutes before the roof caved in. We thank God for the "angel"who went into the house and saved her, and then "disappeared." Weare grateful for insurance that enables us to rebuild. We expect tobe in our new home by Christmas.

Saying thank you doesn't say enough, but we want you to knowwhat a blessing you have been to us.
