Coming off last weekend's 13th place finish at the Notre DameInvitational, the Ball State women's golf team plays host to theannual Cardinal Classic. The two-day meet is this weekend at thePlayers Club in Yorktown. Sixteen other teams will be at this meet,in which the Cards finished second in 2003.�
The season opened last week and sophomore Chelsea Flannery ledthe way at the Notre Dame Invitational. Coach Katherine Mowat feelsshe has several players who can step up anytime, though.
"Everyone on this team is somebody you should watch out for,"Mowat said. "There are some girls that are really big hitters. Theyare ball-strikers and get the ball down the course well."
Following this weekend, the Cardinals have the meets at EasternKentucky and Florida International to finish the fall season.
