Softball head coach Terri Laux has announced two additions toher staff -- pitching coach Cris Lukas and graduate assistantCarrie Mason.
Lukas comes to Ball State after three years as head coach theUniversity of New Haven in Connecticut. In her final season, NewHaven's team ERA was 1.19.
"Her expertise in pitching is incredible," Laux said of Lukas."I fully expect our pitching staff to make a huge improvement underher direction."
Mason was a four-year letter at Ball State (1999-2002). She issecond all-time in school history in assists, fourth in walks andtied for fourth in home runs. A 2002 graduate, she has been asixth-grade teacher in Greenfield the past two years and plans topursue a master's degree in counseling psychology.
