Junior Charles Bass, a 6-9 center/forward, recently had surgeryon his achilles tendon after suffering an injury during an openworkout. He is out indefinitely.
In a statement through Ball State Athletics Communications, Basssaid that he injured his left achilles on Wednesday and had surgeryon Friday. "Everything went well and I'm looking forward toreturning to the team as soon as possible," he said in thestatement.
Bass, who transferred from Ohio State early last season, is noteligible until the end of the fall semester per NCAA transferguidelines. Earlier this year, he tore his right achilles and wasunable to practice the rest of the season.
With forwards Cameron Echols and Robert Owens having graduated,Bass was expected to compete for a starting position.
