Maurice Acker of Hillcrest in Chicago has given a verbal commitment to play for Ball State and Tim Buckley. He made the commitment last weekend during his official visit.
Acker stands at 5-foot-8 and plays point card as he enters his senior year of high school as one of Illinois' top players. His school, Hillcrest, could open the season as the No. 1 high school team in Illinois.
CollegeHoops.com reported that Acker said that Ball State has always been No. 1 on his list, and that he feels he can immediately play for the Cardinals.
