Sophomore men's golf member C.D. Hockersmith competed in the 104th North and South Amateur Championship held on the Pinehurst golf course.
On Tuesday he shot a 74 in the first round, which was played on the par 72 No. 8 course. The finish tied him for 70th out of the 156 golfers at the event.
On Wednesday he shot a 75 on the par 71 No. 2 course to finish with a two round total of 149, which was good enough to tie for 76th place.
Of the 156 golfers that competed on Tuesday and Wednesday, only 64 move onto the six rounds of match play that determines the champion.
