BROADCASTING Ball State, WLBC extend partnership; football, basketball will be played on 104.1

The "Voice of the Cardinals" will continue to be WLBC-Radio 104.1. Ball State University and Nelligan Sports Marketing extended their contract with WLBC for four years through 2007-2008.

The agreement, which will carry the Ball State and WLBC relationship past 50 years, calls for WLBC to broadcast all football and men's basketball games and up to 15 women's basketball games. In addition, WLBC will broadcast a football and men's basketball coach's show.

The football and men's basketball games will be heard on 104.1, while the women's basketball games will be carried on WLBC's AM affiliate, WXFN 1340, which is an ESPN Radio station.

"We are very excited to be able to get this partnership extended for four more years, and we are looking forward to WLBC serving as our flagship station as we celebrate 50 years together," athletics director Bubba Cunningham said in a press release.
