MEN'S TENNIS BSU players receive conference honors

Ball State placed two players on the All-Mid-American Conference First Team and one on the All-MAC Second Team. Matt Baccarani and Matt Laramore were named on First Team All-MAC. Patrick Thompson was named to the All-MAC Second Team.

The teams, named by the six head coaches in the league, consisted of four players from Western Michigan and Northern Illinois, three from Ball State, and one from Buffalo.

Baccarani went 3-2 in the MAC and 10-12 overall in 2004. Baccarani was named to First Team All-MAC and was MAC Newcomer of the Year last year.

Laramore went a perfect 5-0 in league play, and 12-10 overall, including wins over two other All-MAC selections. Laramore was named to the second team last year.

Patrick Thimpson, who teamed up with Baccarani to post a 20-11 record in doubles, including a 4-1 record in the conference, spent a week ranked No. 24 in the nation in February.
