University Marching Band is searching for instrument players, dancers and color guard members. The organization is open to all Ball State students.
Auditions for Cardettes and the color guard will be held this weekend. The color guard auditions will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. in Irving Gym, South Balcony. Dancers trying out for Cardettes should go to room 200D in Irving Gym from 9 p.m. to noon. Percussion auditions will be held on Aug. 13 beginning at 1 p.m. Auditions aren't held for brass or woodwind instruments.
Band members can earn two credits for participating. The rehearsal schedule is Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. for all members and percussion and auxiliary also rehearse on Tuesday and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Members are also encouraged to attend band camp from August 15-21. People interested in joining should contact the band office or Kristi Royal at kroyal@bsu.edu.
