RHA elects only nominee to open position

The Residence Hall Association voted Thursday to elect the only nominee for its open Issue and Facilities Chair position.

Representative Dylan Jolly was the only candidate after the nominating period ended last week, and after a short discussion period and vote, the position was his.

"I'm committed, I'm eager to do this, and I'm going to have a lot of fun doing it," Jolly said.

Jolly has spent this school year as the representative from Shively Hall and as a member of the Issues and Facilities Committee.

He will take over the position vacated by Adam Roberts, who left to become the Finance Chair for the Great Lakes Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls annual conference. Ball State is scheduled to host the conference in November.

Roberts was forced to resign because the RHA constitution states that a person cannot serve on the RHA executive board if he or she is holding a chair position with such a conference.

Great Lakes Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls is a regional organization for housing and residence life composed of universities in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and the Canadian province of Ontario.

James Tobin, GLACURH director, said the organization provides resources and a means of communication to its member institutions.442!#-¬'+++â-+G?+â-Ñ+â-+?5'+â-»NxJI?+â-¦-ó+â-ñ-++â-âJ+â-¦5
