Ball State's College of Sciences and Humanities is accepting nominations for the 2004 Perham Awards for women native to Indiana who have enriched the lives of others through outstanding accomplishments and contributions.
Specific categories include: leadership in education; research in science and math; leadership in business, the university or the community; and excellence in undergraduate or graduate student achievement. Other categories will also be considered.
The recipients will be honored Oct. 27 during the fifth annual Celebration for Indiana Women of Achievement at the Alumni Center.
Nominations require a letter specifying why the nominee should receive the award and a category describing the individual's major contribution.
Letters should be sent to Fred Meyer, Department of Political Science, North Quad 237, Ball State University, Muncie, IN 47306. They must be postmarked no later than April 15 to be considered.
