MEN'S FOOTBALL Defensive end Riley to represent Ball State at Hula Bowl

Justin Riley, a two-year starter on Ball State's defense, has been selected to participate in Saturday's Hula Bowl in Maui, Hawaii. He is the first Ball State player to be chosen for the all-senior bowl, which will be televised on ESPN2 at 8 p.m.

Riley started 12 games at rover and defensive end as a junior, then started 11 games at strongside linebacker as a senior. He totaled 188 tackles in three years, including 83 as a senior. Riley walked on at Ball State after transferring from St. Joseph's.

Riley's appearance will mark the second consecutive year a Ball State player has taken part in a post-season all-star game. Running back Marcus Merriweather played in the 2003 Rotary Classic All-Star Game.
