Ball State coach to assist US national team

VOLLEYBALL

Ball State women's volleyball head coach Randy Litchfield has been selected to assist the USA Men's World Games team in its preparation for fall competition in South Korea and Japan. Litchfield will be with the team between July 15 and July 22 at the Olympic Training Facility in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The USA team will be coached by Ball State alum Arnie Ball, under whom Litchfield was an assistant for the men's volleyball team at IPFW from 1985 to 1986.

Litchfield is one of the most successful coaches in Mid-American Conference and NCAA history. In 14 years as head coach at Ball State, he has amassed a 302-125 (.707) career record and been named the MAC Women's Volleyball Coach of the Year five times.
