Women head to Central Michigan

The women's basketball team will look to stay on top of the Mid-American Conference West Division when it travels to Central Michigan tonight. Ball State carries an 8-4 record, including 2-0 in MAC play, and a three-game win streak the matchup. The Chippewas stand at 9-4 and 1-3.

Cardinal Tamara Bowie was recently named West Division Co-Player of the Week for the third time this year and 10th time in her career. The senior forward, who has scored 43 points in Ball State's two MAC games, leads the league with 21.1 per game. Her 9.3 rebounds also lead the team. Kate Endress (14.1 ppg), Johna Goff (12.2), Jessica Reiter (9.8) and Dana Collins (9.3, 5.0 assists) round out the starting lineup.

Central currently sports the MAC's top defense, allowing just 57.1 points per contest. On the other side, BSU is scoring 79.1, good for second in the MAC and sixth in the nation. The Chippewas have won four of six home games this year and are led by Desiree Eidson's 14.9 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. In MAC play, Casey Manning has put up 17 points per game.
