Ball State traveled to Kentucky to take part in the Velvet Milkman Invitational. In the event hosted by Murray State, the Cardinals won three games out of five.

Mid-American Conference (MAC) Softball Awards were announced May 11, as voted by the head coaches of each team in the conference, where Ball State softball senior left fielder Faith Hensley took home the highest honor: MAC Player of the Year.
Heading into their May 7-8 series against the Akron Zips (18-32, 13-16 MAC), Ball State Softball (22-31, 15-14 MAC) still had a chance to get into May 12-14’s Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament. The top four teams in the MAC are involved in said tournament and the Cardinals sat at fifth.

Playing in its second three-game series of the week, Ball State Softball (19-25, 8-12 MAC) won one of three games against Buffalo (17-20, 8-11 MAC).
When Ball State freshman pitcher Angelina Russo threw her 98th pitch, the only sound was the crack of Western Michigan (16-27, 6-11 MAC) senior pitcher Reily Galloway’s bat. When the ball was fielded cleanly for an out, that was the time for sound.

After their doubleheader was pushed back from Saturday to Sunday due to weather concerns, Ball State Softball (13-21, 6-5 MAC) wrapped up a three-game series against Mid-American Conference (MAC) rival Ohio (15-18, 9-5 MAC) April 11 with a walk-off home run from sophomore infielder Kayla Lissy in the bottom of the seventh inning.
With just under a month left before the Mid-American Conference Tournament, Ball State Softball (12-19, 5-3 MAC) went 2-1 in a midweek series against Northern Illinois (9-17, 3-8 MAC) to put them in fourth place in the MAC.
Ball State (10-18, 3-2 MAC) earned its first three wins in conference play this weekend, defeating Kent State (9-17, 1-7 MAC) 8-5 and 4-1 April 1 and 11-3 April 2.
Ball State (7-18, 0-2 MAC) fell short in its doubleheader against Central Michigan (13-12, 4-1 MAC) March 25. Due to cold weather, the third game of the series scheduled for March 26 was canceled.
Ball State Softball (4-6) won three of its five games at the Winthrop Eagle Invitational Feb. 18-20. The Cardinals defeated Towson 3-2, beat Western Carolina 7-6 and outlasted Winthrop 7-5. Ball State suffered its first loss against Robert Morris 8-5 and dropped its third game of the weekend against Albany 3-2.
In Ball State Softball's (1-3) first action of the season, they traveled to Chicago for the DePaul Dome Tournament.
Ball State (27-16, 21-6 MAC) used an extra inning in Sunday’s game to even the four-game series with Toledo (22-19. 12-13 MAC) over the weekend.
