An emergency notification email and text sent around 11:30 p.m. states University Police Department (UPD) is investigating an armed robbery that occurred near 106 N. McKinley Ave.
UPD is searching the area for a black, male suspect wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, white shorts with a stripe and dark shoes.
The emergency notification states the suspect fled south after the robbery and that people should avoid the area.
