Public Safety Advisory issued after two fondling reports

A Public Safety Advisory was issued Thursday after the Ball State University Police Department received a report of a fondling on two separate occasions.

The incidents reportedly happened in an on-campus residence hall on April 1 and on Sunday.

The advisory, issued by UPD, said the suspect, which is the same in both incidents, is known to the survivor.

Anyone with information is asked to call UPD at 765-285-1111.

Included in the advisory were sexual assault crime prevention tips including:

• Always get verbal consent from your partner.

• Make sure you have consent. Consent is a clear and freely given yes, not the absence of a no.

• Listen to your partner. If you are receiving an unclear message, stop.
