Reports of shots fired unfounded, no ongoing threat to campus

At 12:22 a.m. Ball State emergency alerts issued a notification warning about reports of shots fired in the 1000 block of W. Rex St. 

At 12:39 a.m. Ball State emergency advised there is on ongoing threat to campus and that students could resume normal activities. 

According to Muncie Police, the reports of shots fired were unfounded. No casings were found on the scene. 

One person was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Delaware County EMS was dispatched because the arrestee was hyperventilating. 

At this time, there is no ongoing threat to campus, according to Ball State Alerts.
