Various people took to Twitter to voice their concerns after Geoffrey S. Mearns was announced as the next president at Ball State Jan. 24.
Mearns is currently president at Northern Kentucky University, and some students and faculty members from NKU noted in their tweets that they did not receive an email letting him know of his departure when his contract ends on July 31.
