Ball State men's basketball saw its three-game winning streak snap in Toledo, Ohio.

In the last game of the regular season, Ball State traveled to Northern Illinois University for a matchup with a potential top-four seed in the Mid-American Conference tournament on the line.

Northern Illinois hit 58-percent from behind the 3-point line during its 80-69 victory over Ball State.

With the loss and a Buffalo victory, Ball State locked up the No. 6 seed in the upcoming MAC tournament. On March 7, Ball State will plays its last game at Worthen Arena against Miami.

The winner of that first-round game will advance on to a quarter final match against Buffalo in Cleveland, Ohio, on March 10.

Sophomore forward Sean Sellers was the only player to score off the bench for Ball State.

With the loss, Ball State finished the regular season 19-12, 10-8 MAC and with a Central Michigan loss a share of the MAC West title.
