Ball State Women’s Basketball found itself down in the game, but its effort never faded, as it pushed on and beat Buffalo, 69-65.
Both teams were able to put together solid scoring displays, but Ohio was better down the stretch and was able to hand Ball State Women’s Basketball its second Mid-American Conference loss of the season, 79-71.
The Chippewas put together a complete all-around effort in the second half, which led them to a dominating win over the Cardinals, 66-39. The lost snapped Ball State’s seven-game win streak, which was their longest streak since the 2017-18 season.
Although it’s great to see minorities get this opportunity on the field, there’s a bigger problem that happens off the field in the power positions around the league. Minorities are still not given a fair shot at becoming a head coach in the NFL.
Ball State Women’s Basketball's performances in second halves this season so far has helped it be successful in the win column. The Cardinals were even better again in the second half against Eastern Michigan, and it was enough for them to come out on top to extend their current win streak to seven games straight.
