Tulsa's athletics director and former Ball State athletics director Bubba Cunningham was named the 2008-09 Football Bowl Subdivision Central Region Athletics Director of the Year earlier this week and will receive the award at a reception today in Orlando.
INDIANAPOLIS - Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning helped launch a campaign with Ball State University and the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent on Monday to help fight childhood obesity. Eastern Michigan University's women's basketball team was one of 14 teams in the nation to receive a grant from the NCAA to help increase the team's marketing campaign in hopes of raising attendance.
