JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Written off by many in his own party a mere month ago, Republican Rep. Todd Akin has been slowly rebuilding his Senate campaign after apologizing for inflammatory remarks about pregnancy and rape.

'Continental' to play show at Be Here Now tonight

Rick Barton, who was once the guitarist for the Dropkick Murphys (1996-2000), an Irish-inspired punk outfit out of Boston, now finds himself touring with his 22-year-old son, Stephen, in Continental, who will be stopping by Muncie's Be Here Now today.

Saturday was part of parents weekend, meaning the annual "Chase Charlie" event was held on Ball States's campus. crowds of students and family members came out to run in the event. Three separate events make up the races including a 5k marathon and mile run in the morning; in the evening the sprint after Charlie during the football game.

Ball State took on South Florida Saturday evening in the second BCS game of the season. Ball State would walk away from the game 31-27 after a key touchdown by Willie Snead and an interception to end the game by Eric Patterson.
