The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee’s recreation of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’s single “Can’t Hold Us” wasn’t easy. Joel Godett, assistant director of broadcast and multimedia services, filmed the parody and came up with the idea after seeing a similar video done at Syracuse when he was in college. The music video follows Charlie Cardinal and various athletes in on-campus areas, such as Worthen Arena, near Beneficence and Frog Baby, Briner Sports Complex and in front of the Bell Tower. The video was shot over the course of two weeks and consisted of at least eight different shoots, Godett said.
