In Ball State's first game of 2025 and Mid-American Conference play, the Cardinals defeated Kent State 75-67 on the road.
Head coach Brady Sallee said the Cardinals (10-4, 2-0 MAC) stunk in the 72-61 win over Mid-American Conference (MAC) foe Central Michigan (4-9, 0-2 MAC). Regardless of another win on the season, Sallee saw the Chippewas compete harder.
Ball State defeated Wabash 3-0 to open the 2025 season.
The Cardinals open the 2025 season later today in a home match against Wabash. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
Ball State (9-4) defeated the Miami (OH) (7-4, 0-1 MAC) 68-55 to start the MAC season 1-0.
Though the Cardinals defeated Anderson 89-76, Ball State head coach Michael Lewis said the team is still fighting internal struggles.
With six new faces on the team, the Cardinals have emphasized leadership and development in addition to their time in the gym.
