Delta High School dominates homecoming

Delta High School had their homecoming game this past weekend against New Castle. Delta, who has struggled in conference games all year until this point, finally grabbed that elusive conference win, 49-12. 


Working for an inclusive campus

Ball State University is working toward creating an inclusive campus. Many efforts have been made like Day of Dialogue, moving the Multicultural Center to the center of campus, highlighting cultures at the David Owsley Museum of Art and more.

Socializing through half of the face

Since the spring of 2020, people have been socializing with only half their face in public. This is due to the Covid-19 pandemic beginning, and at this point, not ending yet. How does this type of cover-up affect one's ability to socialize and teach?

Artist of the Month: Alvaro Soler

It is National Hispanic Heritage Month and that means that the Spanish music on my playlists will be played nonstop to celebrate. The artist on the top of my playlists is Alvaro Soler. 

The "Securing the Vote: Women's Suffrage in Indiana" exhibit from the Indiana Historical Society provides a statewide view of the women's suffrage movement. It is one of two exhibits the Delaware County Historical Society is holding through Sept. 29 focusing on local figures influential to the U.S. women's suffrage movement. Joey Sills, DN

Delaware County Historical Society honors local suffragists in new exhibit

The word that comes to mind when Karen Vincent, board president of the Delaware County Historical Society, thinks of feminism is “recognition.” She said she wants to recognize the women involved in the decades-long U.S. suffrage movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries through the Historical Society’s current exhibit, “The Suffragists of Delaware County.”
