A $950,000 federal earmark will help Ball State University begin part of the final phase of the McKinley Safety Improvement Project. The funding was part of the $410 billion omnibus appropriations bill President Barack Obama signed last week. Ball State University police arrested a man on suspicion of resisting law enforcement and disorderly conduct when the man ignored an officer's warnings to stop skateboarding today, police said. The Mid-American Conference named the current Ohio Valley Conference commissioner as its new commissioner today. Jon A.
