SOCCER: Cardinals chop down Sycamores in Spring game

The Cardinals took down the Sycamores, 1-0, at the fifth annual Spring Fling held at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Ind. The Spring Fling donates all of its admission earnings to Camp Watcha-Wanna-Do; a camp for children living with and surviving cancer.

BASEBALL: Ball State wins first MAC series of season at Ohio

The win secured Ball State's first series victory of the year to open the Mid-American Conference season. The Cardinals (8-15) split the first two games of the weekend, winning 10-1 Friday, before dropping the first game Saturday 4-2 and winning the second game 4-0.

WOMEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING: Four Cardinals named Academic All-MAC

To qualify as an Academic All-MAC candidate, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA and participate in 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence, however, are not eligible.

WOMEN'S TENNIS: Ball State drops season's first conference match to Bowling Green

Sophomore Kylee Johnson was the only one that had much success on the day for Ball State. Johnson and Katherine Rist claimed the only doubles victory for the team, winning 8-6 against Bowling Green's Katia Babina and Jade Johnson. Later on, Johnson earned a three-set victory in the No. 4 singles match over Maddy Eccleston (6-4, 2-6, 6-2) and won the only point on the day for Ball State.

 A semi-circle of chairs, two runways angled from the stage and a long red curtain transformed Cardinal Hall into the setting for the Fashion Design Society's annual show.
