SCOTT: The NFL's new Pro Bowl format will not be popular

January is when all the magic happens and, amid all the NFL playoff games that have me on the edge of my seat filled with suspense and pandemonium, I can sit back, relax and take in a breather with the NFL Pro Bowl. The All-Star Game of the NFL is an amusing occasion that truly allows me to see my favorite players in the league and enjoy them all coming together to create a super team going up against another super team.

The third destination: Jaquan Amos' journey to Ball State football

For the average person, five years may seem like the blink of an eye. To graduate student safety Jaquan Amos, it has molded him into the man he is today. Ball State is Amos’ third destination in the last five years for his college career. Before making his way to Muncie, he spent a year in Ames, Iowa, with the Iowa State Cyclones, shortly after playing three years in his hometown of Philadelphia with the Villanova Wildcats.

NEWMAN: The massive stain on every NFL jersey

For some reason, the NFL seems to disagree with me. Every NFL player on every NFL team walks out of their locker room and onto the field each game day with a stain on their jersey. Sometimes it’s super hard to see. Sometimes it’s pretty darn easy to see. Other times the stain is so obvious that it’s hard to look away, but football fans generally just miss it or ignore it completely. I can’t miss that stain. That stain is the NFL ownership group.

ZUVER: A dysfunctional day from the dysfunctional Indianapolis Colts franchise

“We cultivate winning cultures, we cultivate toughness, we live by integrity, and we don’t expect any more than we expect from ourselves.” Colts Owner Jim Irsay’s message to the media after one of the most chaotic days in the franchise's rich history. Let's forget Monday for a moment. This entire season has been a masterclass on dysfunction in the NFL. Let’s just take the last three weeks, to keep it concise.

“I'm so excited for our kids and for our program,” head coach Mike Wilhelm said. “We talked with this group about being champions months ago, because we knew we had the ingredients to be a championship team. But we had to grow and we learned from our losses and from some of our weaknesses throughout the year. I think we corrected those and that's how you become a championship team.”
