One player that has stood out during this stretch is junior Jackson Wors. He led the Eagles with a career-high 27 points in their first-round win over the Bulldogs. But one thing that some might not know is that he has to wear a brace around his right shoulder during games and practices. Over the summer, Wors dislocated his shoulder.
“This is something I’ve dreamed about,” Fisher, a senior, said. “I’ve been at [Muncie] Burris my whole life, since kindergarten, and I’ve been coming to these basketball games. I know this group [of seniors] has always wanted to get to this moment.”

The Wapahani Raiders have now defeated the Yorktown Tigers twice this season. The first time was in the county championship game. The second was Saturday’s regular season match at Yorktown high school where the Raiders won 54-46.

On Friday night, Wes-Del took on the Eastbrook Panthers. Before the game started, each Warrior walked across the court with their grandparents. Wes-Del head coach John McGlothin thought that was the only ceremony taking place. The PA announcer then told the crowd that coach Mcglothin would be retiring following the end of this season. Then numerous former players and coaches walked through the gymnasium doors to hug and talk to the 30-year career coach.
