StuStock brings in six bands

Studebaker East Complex and Studebaker West Complex are putting together the seventh annual StuStock from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday behind Stu West. Activities will include a battle of the bands contest, a raffle and a cookout. In order to enter the raffle, Studebaker residents have to use their Studebucks, a form of fake money residents can earn in the halls.

Science Day goal to educate, excite students

Rockets, slime and a genie will all be at the Delaware County Fairgrounds this weekend when a Ball State University student organization has a Science Day for Muncie children. Science Day will showcase more than 15 demonstrations, a miniature carnival and environmentally friendly activities.

Ball State HD movie to premiere at IMAX

The latest film from the telecommunications department will be shown on a screen half the size of a football field. "Free Wall" is premiering at the IMAX theater in the Indiana State Museum at 7:30 p.m today. The film is an emotional drama about two young men from opposite ends of the social spectrum.

For anyone who knows anything about Journalism 102, it is debated to be one of the most challenging classes at Ball State University. It is a class in which I would write a 150-page research paper. Once the paper was finished, we were given a final assignment: the wheelchair effect paper, a project in which I was supposed to be in a wheelchair while in a public place and write about my experience.

Since the Communication Center was established at Ball State University this semester, most students have not been too happy with the idea. The concept of the center is to allow students to manage what university e-mails they receive by customizing their settings on the Communication Center Web site.
