Greek life at Ball State University was recently recognized for its accomplishments at the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values Conference in St. Louis.

GYMNASTICS: Cardinals head to MAC Championships looking to prove themselves

The Ball State University gymnastics team will find out what it is capable of when it travels to Bowling Green, Ohio, at 2 p.m. Saturday to compete in the MAC Championships. The seven MAC schools with gymnastics programs will come together to vie for the championship. Although Ball State has not competed with more than four teams in a meet this season, the team is trying to remain focused on its performance.

SOFTBALL: Ball State sweeps doubleheader on road at Dayton

The Ball State University softball team kept on rolling Wednesday evening, taking care of business with a doubleheader sweep at the University of Dayton. With the win, the Cardinals improve to 19-6 and have now won 17 of their last 19 games.

GRAIN OF SALT: Democrats wasted time compromising with GOP

Politically, the health bill is less of a victory for Democrats than it is a complete public relations disaster for Republicans. Republicans had stalled for months, banking on the Democrats' incompetence to kill reform efforts. As of Sunday night, that bet failed to pay off.

WASHINGTON  — A beaming President Barack Obama on Tuesday signed a historic $938 billion health care overhaul that guarantees coverage for 32 million uninsured Americans and will touch nearly every citizen's life, presiding over the biggest shift in U.S. domestic policy since the 1960s and capping a divisive, yearlong debate that could define the November elections.

Museum of Art to showcase student talent

Art students will be given a chance to show off their class projects to their peers, faculty and the general public in an art show that promises prizes and more. The 75th Annual Student Art Show is free and will open at 9 a.m. Friday at the Ball State University Museum of Art. The opening ceremony and awards ceremony will begin at 6 p.m.

A lawyer in one of the most influential court cases in U.S. history spoke to Ball State University students in an experimental presentation Monday night at Pruis Hall.
