Ball State diving was able to defeat IUPUI in both the men’s and women’s 3-meter dive in a friendly at the IUPUI Natatorium. The Jaguars took both the men’s and women’s one-meter dive to tie with the Cardinals.

In front of their home fans and on their home court, Delta High School (7-7, 0-2 Hoosier Heritage) wins the 2022 Delaware County Basketball Tournament after defeating Wapahani High School (10-3, 3-0 Mid-Eastern) 59-54. This is the 21st time the Eagles have been crowned victors in this tournament, which has been played since 1929, and the fifth time in the past seven years Delta has won.

Ball State Men and Women's Swim and Dive competed in the House of Champions hosted by IUPUI Nov. 18-20. The women totaled 1,347 points to place second out of nine. The Cardinals were 17 points behind first-place Illinois. The men ended with 891.5 total points, placing fourth in the seven-team field behind University of Indianapolis, IUPUI and Illinois-Chicago.

Fans of college basketball see this happen every year: a smaller school from a mid-major conference goes on the road to face a Power Six Conference team (the Atlantic Coast Conference, Big East, Big Ten, Pacific-12 and Southeastern Conference) for what seems to be a tune-up game for the bigger school. But, every year, there are one or two mid-majors who end up upsetting the big schools. Tuesday night was one of those instances.
