As the fundraising numbers came in last year at the 2015 Ball State University Dance Marathon, Beka Lockwood watched anxiously. She and her entertainment committee, a small but dedicated group of students, had put in hard work, along with all the other volunteers, to make the fundraiser a success. When the announcement came through that the event had raised more than $500,000, Lockwood fell to the ground crying.

Pet owners know its true: no matter how much you miss your family and friends, there’s something different about missing your dogs, cats and other pets while you’re away at school. Some Ball State students have kept their furry friends with them and have found there are both pros and cons to keeping a pet while at school.

An Evening with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, the first tour in two years for the hip hop duo, will make a stop in Emens Auditorium February 3. The tour kicked off January 9 in Phoenix and comes on the cusp of their highly-anticipated album, This Unruly Mess I’ve Made, which is expected to drop on February 26.

movements guiding Millennials, particularly (and perhaps predictably)
Millennial women. According to HerCampus’s 2015 Feminism on Campus
Survey, 78 percent of college women in the United States identify as
feminists. Today’s feminists, however, are unique in that their goal is
not just gender equality, but creating a more just and equitable world
for all marginalized groups.
