“It is nice to be close to home. When you hit a campaign trail for a statewide office, anything between about a 200-mile radius is called home, but this is truly home," Says Yorktown Schools Superintendent Jennifer McCormick, "I’m about five minutes from home so this is really nice.”

The first in our two part special on storytelling, the Gaming Maw discusses all the little things that propel a story forward: gameplay.
Which is actually a big part of how video games tell their tales, whether it's crafting, leveling systems, or how one goes about shooting enemies. The action and the reaction. The atmosphere and sometimes, in games like Amnesia, the actual fear.
This episode we talk about our favorite experiences within our fav games and just how the gameplay immerses a player.

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- Today was yet again another gorgeous day here in Muncie, Indiana. With way above average highs in the low 80s, things are feeling a lot warmer than what they should this time of year. In face we are close to 20 degrees above average for our high temperatures. But our low temperatures are just about average for this time of year. There is a dome of high pressure moving into the air for this weekend which will bring along with it cooler temperatures in the upper 60s as well as sunny conditions throughout the whole weekend. When students come back from fall break the temperatures will continue to rise all throughout the week into the mid to upper 70s. As we hit next Friday, we have a chance for some rain showers which will drop our highs back into the 60s.

It's another beautiful day in Delaware County as we expect to climb to a high of 82 degrees today which is close to the record high of 84 set back in 1982. Hurricane Matthew is the big national focus as it continues to make a northwest path up the east coast. So far, the main threat has been rain and hurricane force winds. Matthew will continue to track up towards South Carolina before heading back out into the Atlantic Ocean. Closer to home, Muncie can expect the chance for a few pop up showers later this evening, but then major clearing as the rest of the weekend and the start of the next work week looks sunny. Temperatures will remain in the 70s for the majority of the week, but lows will begin to drop down into the 40s and 50s, so light jackets for the morning may be needed. MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana)--Hurricane Matthew is considered the first category four hurricane in the Caribbean in fifty-two years. Hurricane Cleo threatened Haiti, the Bahamas, and Cuba as a category four in 1964. This hurricane comes six years later after Haiti was affected by a magnitude seven earthquake. Bridges have been washed away making it even harder to get those heavily affected by Matthew, the main one being the La Digue Bridge that separates southwest Haiti from the rest of the country. As of Wednesday, the United States has sent nine military helicopters to help with rescues and bringing supplies. As hurricane Matthew gets closer and closer to the United States. The state of Florida is taking necessary actions. Florida Governor Rick Scott says quote "this storm will kill you". President Obama has declared Florida under a state of emergency. The National Guard has deployed over six-thousand to help get everyone to evacuate before it's too late. Scott removed tolls on the Florida turnpike; alligator alley, central Florida expressway authority and the Miami-Dade express way authority to increase evacuation. Walt Disney world is closing all of its parks. Miami international airport has cancelled ninety percent of their flight schedule. Along with Florida, the governors of North and South Carolina have also issued state of emergencies. The hurricane is currently a category 3 with winds sustained at around 120 mph and is located off the coast near Daytona Beach. Some cooler temperatures and rain are expected to both be factors heading into the weekend. Our first chance for significant rain potential will come later Friday evening and will linger around Saturday afternoon with the possibility of affecting the Ball State football game. If you are heading out to that, make sure to pack rain gear as there is a chance for those showers. Sunday is looking to be mostly cloudy with a lingering rain shower early in the morning. For the start of the next work week, we are looking at a warming trend as temperatures climb back up into the mid 70s with partly cloudy skies.
