Tonight: Temperatures will remain warm throughout the night in the upper 60s to mid 50s. Skies will be clear and winds will be out of the northeast at 5-10 MPH.
Tonight: A warm night is ahead, with a low of 73 degrees tonight. Strong winds from the southwest will make it feel a little cooler. Skies will remain clear throughout the evening.

Warning: Plenty of rain today for the first day of fall. Over an inch and a half of rain fell here in Muncie. This lead to a flood warning being issued for parts of the white river from Indianapolis up through Anderson. That warning is in effect until Saturday.

There is a Flash Flood Watch in effect until tomorrow morning for Blackford and Jay counties. Winds will be on the breezy side coming out of the north at 10-15 MPH, gusts up to 35. A high of 59 degrees for the day.

It was a very beautiful day today, following a night of showers and thunderstorms last night. We saw cloudy skies for a good majority of the day, but clearing skies later in the afternoon.
Tonight: Severe storms possible before 10pm. A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Grant and Blackford counties until 11pm. The greatest threat being damaging winds and heavy rainfall. Otherwise isolated showers and thunderstorms. A low of 66 with winds coming from the southwest at 5-10 mph.

Tonight, tracking the possible threat of severe weather, Grant County is in a Slight Risk (2/5) for severe weather, while the rest of the viewing area is under a Marginal Risk (1/5). Main threats include frequent lightning, isolated heavy downpours, and the potential for flash flooding.
Welcome back to NewsLink Indiana for the Fall 2021 semester! What a way to kick off the semester, with the high temperature in Muncie reaching 88 degrees today! This is 3 degrees shy of the record of 91 degrees set back in 1999. Although we did not reach 90 today, we have seen 23 days this year so far of 90+ degree temperatures.
