MUNCIE, Ind. — As the Nov. 1 deadline approaches, many universities prepare to welcome in new prospective students. Ball State University’s admissions office is in full swing, as they prepare to guide each and every applicant through the process.

“While the Nov. 1 deadline is a really good deadline for students, it's not a hard deadline for us,” explains Senior Assistant Director of Admissions, Sara Barker.

“Our priority is December." Ball State actually has rolling admission, which means any high school graduate can submit their application at any point in this application cycle and still be fully eligible for admission.”

When applying to colleges or universities, many students might wonder the same thing: “Am I making the right choice?”.

Ball State does a lot to ensure that all its applicants feel sure about their decision.

“We do a lot of programming to make sure students find their fit here at Ball State,” Barker ensures.

Whether that's through guided tours, meetings with advisors, or scouting visits from admissions officers, this university really cares about connecting with its applicants.

“Something that we hear from our students is they love the size of the university,” Barker explains.

Ball State prides itself in its diverse campus; the university has a total enrollment of approximately 20,440 students, and among this sea of students, there is a diverse array of majors and minors.

Aside from the academics and logistics of what this campus can offer, Finley Gay, a senator on the student government association, speaks from a student perspective on what makes Ball State special to him.

“I'm sure every student at every university says this, but it feels like the staff and faculty here are really, really dedicated to you as a student,” Student Senate, Finley Gay said.

Whether it be the staff, student body, academics or the campus, Ball State University has so much to offer its students.
