Today: Happy Earth Day !! We run the risk of seeing some stray showers and storms roll through during our afternoon hours, but weather data trends are looking good for some clearing thereafter. Satellite and radar show both warming and clearing moving steadily northeast through Terre Haute where a temperature of 75 was observed at the time of this article! That should help set the stage for a good start to the Late Nite Carnival but we should still watch for some stray shower potential.
Tonight: Late Nite Carnival kicks off at 7pm under what could potentially be some clearer conditions and then we see a balmy night this time of year. If anything spoils our fun, it should be earlier on but the chance is lower then what we had going earlier in the day.
Tomorrow: As the skies clear even further overnight and those southwesterly winds kick up, we then see the potential under a strong and quick-moving high of record temperatures tomorrow afternoon. Hold onto your hats as we are also dealing with a breezy one - some stronger gusts (40+ mph) may be possible as we move through the rest of the afternoon and into the evening & Sunday!
7-Day Forecast: Now for the risk of storms and perhaps too harsh of a reality check realizing we are NOT in summer yet - yikes! Strong storms may roll through especially into the evening with the threat for even stronger gusty winds than what we may have outside of thunderstorms with heavy rainfall also possible under a warm and humid air mass. Watch for frost and freeze possibilities again into midweek in the mornings!
