The first ever Puppies and Pumpkins event took place on Sept. 24 at Wasson Nursery. The event was held for the community to adopt furry friends and donate to animal shelters.


The 45th Annual Watermelon Bust took place on Sept. 23 in LaFollette Field. The event was hosted by Alpha Chi Omega and the Delta Tau Deltas to raise money for children with diabetes and victims of domestic abuse. Almost a truck load of watermelons were donated by a local watermelon farm for students to participate in team competitions.

The Put Yourself in Her Heels event took place on Sept. 23 in downtown Muncie. The walk  was held by YMCA bring awareness to the programs they have and the daily difficulties that women and children face.

Bark for Life took place on Sept. 23 at Morrow's Meadow in Yorktown, Indiana. Bark for Life is a fundraising dog walk that contributes to cancer cures and programs that help people with cancer.

Muncie Animal Shelter hosted Yoga with Goats on Sept. 21. There were eight goats for the participants to interact with at the event to raise money for the shelter’s animals.

The Cardinals beat Tennessee Tech 28-13 on Sept. 16 at Scheumann Stadium on family weekend. Ball State rushed 228 yards and passed for 238.

The White River Clean-up was responsible for removing over 96,000 pounds of trash and 600  tires from our beautiful river. The cleanup happens statewide every September. The White River Cleanup is sponsored by the Stormwater Management Department and organized by Muncie-Delaware Clean & Beautiful.
