Video Games Live, created Tommy Tallarico, performed on March 19 at John R. Emens with the Muncie Symphony Orchestra and choir as the ensemble. The program featured a costume contest, "Guitar Hero" contest, a Facebook contest and Tallarico concluded the show with a photo of the crowd.

Dean Roger Lavery, President Paul Ferguson, student leaders and Student Media Coordinator Juli Metzger gave speeches. There was a ribbon cutting ceremony and food served afterwards.

The Ball State softball team faced IPFW at home on March 18 at the Softball Field at the First Merchants Ballpark Complex. Ball State beat the Mastadons 8-2 in game one and 19-4 in game two.
