Students and faculty could take part in Dunk-a-Cop on Aug. 28 near the Scramble Light by paying a dollar to throw balls in an attempt to dunk a cop or a member of parking services. All proceeds went to the Special Olympics.
The Student Government Association started a new workshop for freshmen, Freshman 115, that lasts for the first five weeks of the semester. In the sessions, participants discuss organizations on campus, diversity, peer pressure and what the students want to learn.

The Ball State football team hosted a camp for kids on July 16 at Scheumann Stadium. After the camp, families could see the Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales and watch "Remember the Titans" at the stadium.
The women's volleyball team hosted the Lil Cards Volleyball Camp on July 10 in the Field and Sports Building. Seven girls participated in the camp that worked on their passing, serving, attacking and teamwork skills.
