While you enjoy some of those last visits to the pool this summer, be sure to save some time to look at some of the biggest stories from the Ball State Daily News this past week. 


Harry Potter actor Robert Hardy dead at 91

Known to many Millennials and possibly Gen-Xers for his role as the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge in the Harry Potter movie adaptations, actor Robert Hardy has died at the age of 91. However, always having an air of authority, Hardy had been known for decades for his various roles as heads of state on the screen and on stage.



Game of Thrones Season 7, Episode 3: "The Queen's Justice"

Warning: This review contains spoilers for the most recent episode and past seasons of Game of Thrones. This past Sunday’s episode of Game of Thrones, “The Queen’s Justice”, finally reunites Stark siblings and begins the acquaintance of fire and ice.

Ball State begins preseason practice

With one month remaining until the start of the 2017 season, Ball State football returns to Scheumann Stadium for their first full team practice. 



Rick and Morty Season 3, Episode 2: "Rickmancing the Stone"

Warning: This review contains spoilers for this episode and previous episodes of the show. It’s been almost four months since the surprise airing of the Rick and Morty season three premiere on April Fools Day (and nearly two long years since season two ended), but as of this past Sunday, fans can finally rest easy knowing that the third season is fully underway.


'Splatoon 2' is off the hook

The Wii U has been viewed as a major disappointment by both Nintendo fans and critics alike. Featuring few creative original titles and clunky motion controls, many opted to skip Nintendo’s over-glorified Wii update and wait for the next generation of Nintendo console.

Ball State warns students about fraudulent emails

Even though campus isn't as busy during the summer, a large number of fraudulent emails are being sent to Ball State faculty, staff and students, according to  Office of Information Security Services.
