Keeping the Crossroads sustainable

Indianapolis is leading the charge on sustainable transportation in Indiana, using programs like Pacers Bikeshare and IndyGo to cut greenhouse gas emissions and offer equitable travel options for residents — and the model may not stay confined to the big city for long. As Indianapolis expands its transit infrastructure with new bus lines planned through 2028, smaller Indiana communities like Muncie are already exploring how bikeshare and public transit solutions could work on a local scale.
