Even with recent report of thefts in Ball State University's residence halls, the number of police reports filed for thefts in residence halls has decreased since Aug. 1, 2001, according to Ball State University Department of Public Safety. During the 2001-02 academic year, 442 police reports were filed regarding all types of thefts and 29 reports were filed regarding thefts in the residence halls.
