LETTERS: Candidate wants more students to join The Cardinal Movement

Dear Editor, My name is Ray Hart. Many of you know me; many of you don't. For those who don't, I am a part of The Cardinal Movement - and so are you, if you'd like to be. The reason I am writing this is to reach out to you, the common student who doesn't seem to care about what's going on.

TURN FIVE: Students have reason to care about election

"Why should I vote for Student Government Association? The people in it never get anything done, anyway. They only want to join SGA for their r+â-¬sum+â-¬s. Why should I care?" After a year as SGA secretary, I have grown tired of hearing that SGA is useless. The sentiment is simply not true.

OUR VIEW: Not quite 'Everything You Need'

While no one was looking, the university's advertisers built "a new Ball State." It looks exactly like the Ball State Museum of Art that's been around for decades, but according to recent commercials featuring President Jo Ann Gora - and no one else - it's "a new Ball State.

Team Lisec wins SGA election

Jason McElwain is the kind of guy who just won't make it into the NBA. He's as short as Yao Ming is tall, and skinnier than Nicole Ritchie after "The Surreal Life 2." He runs about as fast as George W. Bush thinks, and his 3-point shooting form is as graceful as Brian Collins doing sports highlights.

Candidates will discuss campaigns

To win last-minute votes in the Student Government Association presidential election, Team Lisec and Cardinal Movement are taking over the Scramble Light. Both slates said they intend to spend the day at the corner of McKinley and Riverside avenues telling students about SGA, their platforms and the elections.

Dear Editor, Although I have no problem with a big party downtown, I've come to the conclusion that the practice of flashing is inappropriate. Last semester, someone made me think about some things I had neglected to think about in a long time. Those ideas made me evaluate my own views about sexuality and representations of women.

YOUR TURN: Team Lisec offers 'everything we need'

Having been a member of the Ball State University Student Senate for two years, I have met many campus leaders. In only my second week as a student senator, I met the person I one day hoped would become our Student Government Association president. Her name is Asher Lisec.

LETTERS: Students should be aware of issue with candidate's leadership history

Dear Editor, To The Cardinal Movement presidential candidate, you seem to speak often about how you were the previous president for Theta Chi fraternity, and I was just wondering why you did not complete your term in office for Theta Chi. I believe this is something the student body should be informed of before making such a decision for their Student Government Association president.
